TRX TESTIMONIALS:
Hey Kerri,
I only have 2 more "beginner" TRX classes left and I just wanted to let you know that Kyle has done an excellent job. He provides excellent, precise instructions and he is more than accommodating to help you at any time.
I have to tell you, I love coming to any class...you and your staff are amazing...and very encouraging. I have continued to lose some weight but for the most part, I feel so much better after sweating like that! Thanks for all you do!
Angie

Kerri,
I have been at The Fitness Studio for at 4 years now and one of the classes I take is TRX, my most favorite. This class offers a work out to every part of your body, legs, arms, abs, back and if I forgot a spot that too. What I like best about TRX is that it has given me definition. Especially noticeable are my arms and legs. I didn’t know you could squat that many different ways!
Kerri has taken pains to make sure her facility is up to the standards that it takes to offer the best work out possible, before she began offering classes in TRX she had the whole room outfitted to accommodate this exercise. She also has more than one trainer certified in TRX so you will always be challenged by the different choreography offered in each class.
I can’t imagine being anywhere else other than The Fitness Studio. There is something about the people, the trainers and the atmosphere that keep us all coming back for more. No matter what the day is like finishing at The Fitness Studio improves my overall state of mind.

Kerri,
Coming to The Fitness Studio in September 2010 positively changed my life. I was extremely unhappy with how I looked, how I presented myself, and how I felt. Spending grueling mornings with Jenn for four months and then eventually getting enough courage to try Body Pump, Spin, TRX, Body Combat, and Body Flow has made me a more fit and confident person, and a less stressful one as well.
The dedication of all of the instructors, along with their expertise and positive attitude, only pushes members closer to their personal fitness goals. That's the great part of TFS--it is all about ME and how I can get better. Who doesn't want to belong to a place like that? I miss it when I'm away on vacation and I look forward to go there every day. You leave TFS after each workout knowing you got the best instruction in the area. Thank you Kerri, Jenn, Dan, Amy, Sam, and Kyle for all of you have done to make me a more fit person. I still have a long way to go and I will enjoy every minute of it with you!
Sara
TRX can be extremely intimidating. You walk in--there are crazy strap-like contraptions hanging from the ceiling--but it is worth the fear. It is difficult in the beginning, even after the training session (which you need or else you will hurt yourself or someone around you). However, it is worth the beginning agony. I know that I am stronger, have more defined muscle tone, and am continuously pushed to the limit in TRX and I'm not even that good at it. :)
It is a total body workout--legs, arms, abs, shoulder, back, ect and it is unlike any that you have experienced. Using your own body weight makes you realize two things--you need to keep pushing your fitness level and you need to keep pusing our fitness level. TRX allows you to do that effectively because you engage so many muscles at the same time. No matter who you take the class with--Kerri, Jenn, or Amy--it is an amazing workout.
Thanks again,
Sara
Thanks to all the encouragement & support of the TFS crew I can honestly say I LOVE TRX. I was very reluctant to take the 6 week training because I didn't think I had the strength to do TRX. My TFS friends one by one were training and telling me how much they love the workout. Finally in January I gave in. I trained with Kyle who was great. He made sure that he taught us right from the basics. If someone was having difficulty he offered tips or modifications so they could still get the benefit of the workout. I remember that first "real " class. I was still convinced that I wasn't ready. Within minutes Jenn quickly made me believe that I could do TRX with any one of the classes. There were certain exercises that I had to modify but I was OK with that. Fast forward 7 months. I am still taking classes weekly and I feel so much more confident. I LOVE the day after when my body tells me that I had a great workout. Thanks Kerri, Jenn & Kyle for believing in me and encouraging me to push my limits.

The TRX program is awesome and provides the best whole body exercise I have ever done - super workout for the core.
I like it so much that I purchased a TRX to use when traveling, but you don't have the awesome motivational instructors
or faculties on the road.

First off let me just say that I am addicted to TRX! I love love love it and personally think that it is perfect the way it is. I am amazed that no matter how much I do it I still feel sore and it never gets any "easier" and the class is different every time, which is exactly the kind of class that i was looking for! I think the fact that you have to take the 6 week training first is an incredibly brilliant idea! If I wouldn't have taken the training I may have dropped dead at the first "real" class.
Thank you soooo much for introducing TRX to TFS!! I've now only taken the class wth you and jenn and you both are an inspiration! :)
p.s. ----- since taking TRX my bummie has gotten smaller---I've heard that from 3 people already - best day of my life
Michelle
I love the TRX class that I’m in. I find that it is hard but not to hard were I feel like I will never be able to do it. Hell I can’t even do the full class yet. But I won’t give up. I understand that they are a lot of members that are in better shape and they may want to have a advance class and that would be good for them so you might want to do that (have crazy Jenn teach that class with all her fun moves) hahahaha (love her but she crazier then you). But I’m old and not sure how advanced I will be able to go. But at the same time I don’t want to go slower as I feel I improve every week and that would be going back wards for me. It push me to do more then what I think I can do and that’s a good thing but not to the point were I feel like I will never be able to finish a full class . Plus my clothes are fitting different just from adding that one class a week and that a great thing.
Thanks for pushing me but not killing me.
Darlene
Kerri,
I didn't know we had a "slower pace" option at TFS! You all modify things and ask people to do what they can, if
one week you do 3 next week try 5 etc...etc... as far as advanced, no I
don't think you should offer advanced, I am just getting to the point where
I can complete a full class most of the time, this would just make me feel
more inferior. They are fabulous they way they are! At least with you and
Jenn, haven't taken Kyle so I can't say!
Juliet
I think about TRX every day, and I am not joking. I really love that class and how strong and energized I feel when I am done. I wish my schedule allowed for more classes at TFS, but unfortunately it doesn't... My personal goal is to have TRX always be part of my exercise routine because I can truly feel the difference in my strength and muscle tone from taking that class each week.
You do an awesome job motivating the class and keeping the bar high for each week. TRX class will never be easy for me and I think that is what I like most, besides your awesome commentary:)))
Amy
I know that as of right now I struggle but I do love the challenge and it is what keeps me coming back. I have a ways to go but each week I feel like I am getting stronger and fitter thanks to you and your staff. (Even though I can't move for two days after. Lol)
Thanks again for all you do,
Cynthia
Kerri, as you know i love all of your classes! TRX is so awesome, i think it is great the way you have it now. You can always work at your on level even if you are in a higher level class. I feel i am strong with the legs and have more difficulty with the core segment, but i just go at my own pace. I am so happy i started doing early mornings, i never thought i would say that. Work is so busy that by the end of the day i just want to go home, so doing early morning i can get it done. Thats my story!
Julie
I love TRX just the way that it is. I like to be challenged to force myself to do more, keep going, etc... even while I am groaning and feeling like I might die. I think that you can adapt it easily to your level if needed.
Keep up the great work!!
Rachel
First off...Let me say that I am NOT one to exercise! In fact in the past (20 years or so) I have considered walking to and from my car my daily exercise! Yet, since December I have taken the 6 TRX training sessions, have already committed myself to 4 months of TRX classes TWICE a week, and have no intention of stopping! In my book that speaks volumes for YOU, TFS, and TRX.
Secondly… I so enjoy taking your TRX classes because they are NOT your basic 'routine' exercises. YOU mix up each class... mixing cardio, strength, arms, legs, and core all in a 45 minute block. Then to top it all off, you make sure that every couple weeks you change up the music and various exercises we do to strengthen the fore mentioned areas.
Then there is the fact that the 2 TRX classes /spots that I have committed to are at perfect times ... Any class on a weekday between 3 and 5'ish' p.m. … or on a Saturday morning before 9 (and only 45 minutes long) is just perfect for me! And then the fact that it is affordable means that I cannot use cost as an excuse NOT to work out. It even makes me want to look for a 3rd class every week (like the new body combat that will be offered on Thursdays @ 5 p.m. starting in April).
Of course the best part of TRX is that IT WORKS!!! After only 2 1/2 months I can feel the difference. I fit into my pants (without having to have a baggy sweater cover the tummy and butt). I have received some nice compliments about the new ‘fit’ me from coworkers and friends. And… the fact that I do feel better knowing that I am helping my body deal with 'age' is a big plus!!!
Finally… YOU and Jen are great (my only two instructors thus far), TFS is a very comfortable, relaxing environment... with a feeling of family! I actually look forward to going to the gym (and who would have thought I would ever say that).
Right now the standard TRX classes are working out just fine for me...
As for ADVANCED and SLOWER classes:
SLOWER would not be of interest to me... I like the pace and when I feel a bit too tired to do all of the reps, I FAKE IT! It seems to work for me, so why take away the challenge. Maybe someday I will be able to hang in there and 'do it all.'
ADVANCED has me wondering... what and how could it be advanced... are we talking about longer sessions, different exercises?
Please know that I have told everybody at work about your TRX classes, what we do, and just how much your skills and strength improve with each class you take.
In closing I would like to say that the TRX classes at TFS are a WIN WIN combo for me; and that YOU have a knack for knowing what the ladies want (men too) and YOU DELIVER IT!!!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Angela
You must be reading my mind because I was going to send you a blurb on TRX. I absolutely LOVE it!!! If I had extra money I would take extra classes. Every week there is always something new & with the new comes the new pain. Who does not love pain?? My butt & legs hurt the most every week & I mean every week, so I said to myself - self you are either out of shape or you will have one heck of a butt & legs for the summer. I chose to think the latter of the two. I love the challenges & I would love to see advanced classes. Then again you can keep the classes as they are and I would still love it. My shoulder may not like the advanced classes, but I can always modify right!! I don't usually say much, but you/your gym & the staff are AWESOME. I do love when you yell because it keeps me focused. Keep Yelling!! I am also looking forward to the classes in april, thanks for adding more.
Rosa
I continue to find the workouts challenging. The bad/good thing is each week I am sore in different spots! So I know I continue to get a good workout.
Though I definately am down in the "advanced" beginer level I find that I am able to push myself a little more each class. I like the directions on how to make it easier/more challenging based on our own personal goals. I do a weight routine 3 other days/wk (with bosu/ball) and it is still with the TRX that I feel I have had the most thorough workout.
I just wish I could make it to more classes.
Annette
I absolutely LOVE TRX! I love that I get a great workout in, in 45 minutes.
It makes my heart race, makes me sweat and challenges me every time I take
class. I personally have noticed improvement in my strength, and every
class I feel stronger than last week, because I can hold a plank longer,
lift my arm on side planks where I couldn't last week, etc. I wish I could
take more classes, but my schedule just won't allow me to, with everything
else that I do at TFS! I would say, don't change a thing! Love it as is!
But I am willing to embrace change, so if you decide to change classes or
add different levels of classes, I will be sure to try it!
Thanks for everything you and the TFS staff do! You guys are the best and
that's why I keep coming back, and why my referrals keep showing up!
Marci
Love the TRX classes. I am (for now) happy with them the way they are. I still feel challenged and I think the pace is good. Of course that being said I am always curious what advanced would look like!!!!!!
Rose
TRX is a class that embraces each individual, regardless of fitness level or prior experience to step away from a comfort zone and truly challenge both the mind and body. After spending the past few months as a regular "TRXer" I can honestly say this strength/conditioning technique has not only improved my physique, but my ability to push myself harder in other exercise classes or athletic events as well as in life. I am truly thankful that the Fitness studio has adapted this program, and highly encourage anyone who has not tried this class, to do so.
Kerri- You have helped me push my fitness to places it has never been before, and I am truly thankful for all that you do!
Grace
I love your TRX program- Jen does an awesome job! I think since I started
taking it 'bout 3 months ago I have gained huge amounts of strength, &
balance (plus it looks so cool haha!). I would consider her to be "Advanced"
with the 0530 Tues/Fri class. I especially love her leg/ass/core training.
She is brutally awesome. Your class is the only other TRX that I've had, and
(of course!) you are the goddess of training!
All your staff rocks, as do you,
Susan ;)
TRX is the hardest, most painful, ass-kicking class and I love it! Don't change a thing. :)
Ellen
I embrace everything about TRX and all the classes offer to me @ TFS. I Love
this place more and more ever time I'm there : ) .
Thank you,
Kim
Last week, my back was killing me after TRX. This week, its my legs. I love it! Nothing works your body like TRX does! Its amazing. I love all the classes at TFS, but since TRX is the newest for me, it is the most challenging. I love it just the way it is. The training was done perfectly teaching me to get used to the straps and the moves/form/space. Now, I feel comfortable doing TRX and take on the challenges as best as I can. My goal is to someday do everything in the whole class without stopping, maybe by the end of summer... :) Jenn does such an awesome job! She is great! My biggest mistake in TRX was taking a month break between the training and starting the classes. I lost weeks and it took me so long to get back on track doing TRX. That's my advice to newbies, keep going and dont slack!:)
